Nordisk Film develops, produces and markets films and TV series across the Nordic region as well as providing production and post-production facilities for film producers. The company operates the leading cinema chain in Denmark and Norway and is also responsible for the distribution of PlayStation products in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Nordisk Film invests in Nordic gaming studios. In addition, Nordisk Film is behind the digital film services MinBio and Dansk Filmskat and the gifting business Gavekortet.dk. In 2017, Nordisk Film had a turnover of EUR 498 million and had 1,900 employees.
Through the Nordisk Film Foundation, we develop new talents and promote the “good film narrative.” With an annual budget of approx. DKK 4.5 million, the Nordisk Film Foundation has also contributed to the development of the Danish film industry over the last 20 years by offering scholarships, project grants and awards. In 2017, the Nordisk Film Foundation donated 59 travel grants to film talents and distributed the largest donation so far – EUR 130,000 to ensure more visual effects in talent films.
Nordisk Film is one of the world’s first film companies and has its proud roots in the film studio in Valby, Copenhagen, where the company was founded by Ole Olsen in 1906.
Nordisk Film is part of Egmont – a leading media group in the Nordics with 6,600 employees and operations in 30 countries. Egmont includes Egmont Publishing, which publishes more than 700 magazines, TV 2 Norway and the book publisher Lindhardt and Ringhof. Egmont is a commercial foundation, which has a turnover of EUR 1.5 billion and distributes EUR 13 million per year for a better life for children and adolescents.

We make equity investments in Nordic development studios. The Nordic gaming industry has had tremendous success for many years now and we want to help fuel this growth further! The NF Games team includes highly experienced game creators, innovators, business developers and investors. We see our role as someone who can support and challenge the companies we invest in, with the aim of creating stronger and more successful game studios.
In short: we want to fund, and actively support, the creation and long-term development of the most successful global game IPs created in the Nordics.
We now have full ownership of Avalanche Studios and have minority shares in Swedish Starstable Entertainment AB and Swedish game distributor Raw Fury, as well as the Danish gaming companies RETO MOTO, Flashbulb Games and Multiverse.
